Turn customers into brand ambassadors with strategic giveaways

Lisa talked about brand awareness vs brand advocacy.

Brand awareness is how people know your name, your logo, brand colors, etc. On the other hand, brand advocacy involves customers actively promoting your brand through positive word-of-mouth referrals and recommendations.

We all want our company’s name, number, website out there and she showed examples of what she’s done: she’s put her logo on gators, 3-in-1 charging cables, webcam covers and life savers. Not that printed materials aren’t an important part of your marketing, but promo items, merch, swag – whatever you want to call it – is more memorable when left behind or given to a customer, prospect, etc.

Where are good places/times to do this? Think of client thank-you’s, other networking events…think of visitors day, prospect follow-ups and more.
