Bananas Get Stale

Don’t get stale.

Bananas have shelf life.  So, too, does your marketing content.  Review them, whether flyers, PowerPoint presentations, blogs, and any printed or video material.

Examples in my industry – grant amounts change, interest rates change, and loan programs change.  We’ve heard how HVAC equipment has changed, more options for security systems, and even cell phones or plans.

If you have news stories, make sure they are still relevant.  You created your promotional item, presentation, etc. for a specific need or timeframe.  Has that need changed with times?  If it mentions prohibition, it’s probably stale.

It’s vital to keep the old content new and fresh.  Keep it from getting stale.  One simple way is to review or edit it in a newsletter or e-mail blast form.

This strategy makes you stay relevant and not get stale, like the bananas on your countertop.
