11 Lessons from Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson

  1. Integrity is telling myself the truth. And honesty is telling the truth to other people.
  2. Life moves on and so should we.
  3. What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
  4. What you are afraid of is never as bad as what you imagine. The fear you let build up in your ind is worse than the situation that actually exists.
  5. When you stop being afraid you feel good.
  6. See what you’re doing wrong, laugh at it, change and do better.
  7. Change happens when the pain of holding on becomes greater than the fear of letting go.
  8. If you do not change, you can become extinct!
  9. When you change what you believe, you change what you do.
  10. I guess we resist changing, because we are afraid of change.
  11. You cannot change the past, but you can learn from it. When the same situation arises, you can do things differently and become happier and more effective and successful today.

As you all ponder this, also keep in mind Lisa Kretzer’s words of wisdom:

“Bamboo seeds are watered for five years before they start growing. If they become too dry, they don’t grow. Once they start growing, they become beautiful bamboo.”
