Lead With Your “Why”

Heart inside a comment bubble.

In a world full of AI-generated noise, sharing the reason behind your work is what makes you memorable and real.

Krista Hudson built on last week’s presentation about effective communication by taking the idea one step further. Clear communication with clients means they understand exactly what you’re talking about, and that clarity builds trust. But Krista pointed out that the most powerful kind of communication goes beyond the what and the how of your business. It’s about the why.

When you can clearly explain why you do what you do, it speaks directly to people. It shows them who you are, what drives you and what you care about. Krista noted that with so much AI-generated content flooding our feeds and inboxes, genuine authenticity has become harder to find, and that makes it more valuable than ever. People can tell when they’re hearing from a real person with a real story.

Her takeaway for the group: take the time to put your “why” into words and share it. Whether it’s in a 30-second introduction, on your website or in a conversation with a prospect, effectively communicating your purpose is one of the best ways to connect with future clients on a human level and stand out from the crowd.
